Verklempt

Went and voted with my son today He was my little guy, who was no bigger than a bag of sugar from the grocery store. And today he stepped right up, and filled out his ballot. He has fledged, he is a soaring wing flapping citizen. He is a man.

And he reminds me, in his looks, in the way he thinks, in the way he moves, of my dad-- who died 1982. Of course they never met. I was 16 when my dad died, but oh, they are similar.

This is a post of very little brain, I a fear. I am just having that kind of happiness that hurts with its sharp suddenness.
