Here is Hazel at the park

Everything is melting and dripping, and the ground is not frozen all the way hard, but hard enough that the water can't soak in. That is why mud! Ice and mud together for a while, then comes shoots and worms. Just now the worms are still down deep, safe bow the frozen zone. I wonder where the horseshoe crabs go? We wanted to go to their beach today, but it was swan bath day, so we did not approach!

What a lovely picture! I wish I was there to stroll through the mud with you and Hazel :)

You are very wise to give the swans a wide berth while they are going about their business. They can be terrible short tempered.

Nice picture!! Do you have to wash her feet when you get home?? We still have a few feet of snow on the ground, but it is only a half of what we had a week ago!!

Yes, swans are cranky and can give quite a nip!!
