Because you are smart people

I recently started doing Twitter. I like it fine. But I have an app for it on my phone, and i also find it good to sometimes visit on my desktop at home. Everytime I do the desktop thing Twitter freaks out and makes me reset my password. It is a big pain. The accounts are identical once you get in there from either application.

Any ideas? I am running out of passwords. I am sure that there is an easy fix, I just have no idea what it is.

I have no idea what the specific problem is that's causing your password problems. If you're working through the official twitter interface, you might try using one of the other twitter apps and see if it works better. I'm very fond of Tweetbot because in synchronizes my currently-reading location between interfaces and it doesn't lose track of where you are when it pulls in new messages.

Hi. Sorry that I don't have the answer to your problem. I wanted to speak up because I enjoy following you, but don't have time to add twitter to the mix. Already following so many people in so many places. I will really miss you if you cut back or stop posting here.

Oh Vsee, what a kind thing to say. I am so glad you like my posts. I am not going to leave LJ, I love it here too much. And I am going to post fiction here, I hope forever.

I just signed up for Twitter to see what it was like. It is interesting. But I am a much more long-form person. LJ is the place for that.

Doubt I can help... I'm only doing stuff, Twitter included via desk top. I never really sign out, so I'm always logged in.

Me again! I'd imagine that after you've used a couple different passwords you should be able to go back to an older one... maybe vary it slightly, caps where you had lower case. sub numbers for similar looking letters, etc. ("Oh" for "zero" etc., or vice versa.)

I do that. I have a rotating cast of passwords, but half the time I cannot remember which variation I used last. I have kind of solved the problem by only doing the Twitter on my phone. If I resolve to do that I have no problem. I just wondered if there was some easy fix.
