Stray thought-- when a person is listening to 'Baltimore Whores' in public (a laundromat, say, full of little kids,) it is prudent to make sure headphones are all the way in!

(They were, but I have known them to slip.) The little bitty innocents probably should not be exposed to Waltzing Matilda by the Pouges either. That came up next.

Am reminded of the old country song (I've heard versions by Charley Pride and Bobby Bare) that ends with the line,"...and my baby walks the streets of Baltimore."

Seems Baltimore has always been famous for such misbehavior.

Ahem yes. We had terrible trouble with the Rogues Gallery pirate ballads cd when toots was small. She absolutely adored it and used to sing along to Bully in the Alley and Haul on the Bowline. She often listened to it in the van and partner had to be quick on the fast forward button to skip over Baltimore Whores and others :}
