Lyra is pleased with herself

She punched Hazel in the ear and took over the dog bed. Cats have no moral brakes. Meanwhile Yodel has run out of the super expensive medicated cat food. He spent the whole day refusing ordinary cat food, but has finally given in and is eating the kibble of despair.

Hazel is about to get a nice walk to the beach of horseshoe crabs. That should cheer is late enough to let her off-leash to run.

It was very cloudy today. I slept in and then participated in a live stream of Faustus. (The Globe production with Arthur Darville) How amazing to have the feeling of watching along with other people! I felt as if I noticed so much more. I was entirely out of myself-- not sitting in my apartment but in some other place, with the words and the story. Came home to myself with a bump.

I bought a pair of Crocs this week to replace my old worn out pair. I can wear them in swimming, which is good. The beach here is combed every morning, but I do worry about something sharp underfoot.

I am going to write tonight but now I need to empty the dog. Goodnight, sleep safe and happy, you are all pretty splendid.
