In ER tonight finding out if my kidney is misbehaving. Seems so to me, but tests will tell.

Daughters visit to her doctor was as unpleasant as could possibly be.Neurologist criticized daughters hair, clothes. She asked directly about daughters sexual history right in front of me. In our case it was fine, but usually should not be.done that way. She rebuked daughter for her school performance and changing from the child she had once been. Not fair to say to a teen 'why are you not the cute biddable creature you were at age 12?'

I really do not do medical stuff as a hobby. I would rather have spent my day some other way. Any other way.

Thinking fondly of you all. Sleep well internet people.

Some doctors know their 'subject' well, but have miserable people skills. You'll need to weigh whether this doctor's skills are exceptional enough to continue with. At the least, should you decide to continue with this doctor, you should send a calmly written and well thought out note and tell her your feelings. If she works in a clinic or group practice or hospital, you should also make your grievance known there.

Some years ago, my FORMER physician saw me in his office for a badly infested toe. I was quite pregnant with baby #7 at the time. The first words out of his mouth were "When are you going to have your tubes tied??" I responded with "What has that got to do with my infected toe??" After completing the appointment, I went straight to the head of the facility and complained about this uncalled for and insulting remark. He retired shortly after.

I will keep you in my prayers, and hope your medical problems are minor and quickly fixed!! Thanks for your good wishes!
