Wooden ships iron things

This is my sea-chest with a modern USN colander, big enough to sit in.

And a pineapple for you know who.

A home with books/magazines, etc. just seems more like a home, more inviting!

Oh that is splendid! The chest, the colander and the pineapple, they're all just perfect together.

PS We have a pineapple in our fruit bowl right now too.

PSS I desperately want to have a rummage in your bookcases :)

Anytime come rummage. We have a bookcase in each room. They are all stuffed, all the time, and I cull every year or so.

I realized after posting this picture that something had splashed the side of my sea-chest. It is looking kind of grubby. But you know-- I imagine Archie would think me silly for cleaning it with gentle care and Murphy's Oil Soap, as I often do. But it is dear to me--

This colander has: Pineapple, banana, limes, mangoes, and two kinds of plantains. Mr Bush would be drooling. (I think he has a vitamin deficiency.) Also there are onions and squash that won't fit in the fridge. Onions have a kind of decorative appeal I think, as if each one is a present waiting to be unwrapped from tissue paper. Goofy, but I think they are pretty.

Both of your chest and colander look nice! They have the atmosphere of some calm.

Very nice!

Ages since I had pineapple...it has a habit of making my lips tingle unpleasantly.
