After great pain, a formal feeling comes -- (341)

After great pain, a formal feeling comes --
The Nerves sit ceremonious, like Tombs
The stiff Heart questions, was it He, that bore,
And Yesterday, or Centuries before?

The Feet, mechanical, go round --
Of Ground, or Air, or Ought --
A Wooden way
Regardless grown,
A Quartz contentment, like a stone --

This is the Hour of Lead --
Remembered, if outlived,
As Freezing persons, recollect the Snow --
First -- Chill -- then Stupor -- then the letting go --

That sounds like no good place to live. I hope you can find some help.

They say in NYC you never have a good relationship, a good job, and a good place to live, all at once.

We have here two out of three. I just hope tomorrow goes well.

Oh good. That has to help. I was thinking of you yesterday, of your story of Archie's tattoo. Daughter is having a miserable tome with an infection from hers.

Love & respect to both those women from Nod & Anteros in Exeter. Will be thinking of you tomorrow. If all else fails we can send Ned to give them a broadside!

Poor Ned, for all his success, he and Susan knew the Hour of Lead, didn't they?

I will conjour him up by my side tomorrow. He can help me feel a little less small and meek.
