After great pain, a formal feeling comes --
The Nerves sit ceremonious, like Tombs
The stiff Heart questions, was it He, that bore,
And Yesterday, or Centuries before?
The Feet, mechanical, go round --
Of Ground, or Air, or Ought --
A Wooden way
Regardless grown,
A Quartz contentment, like a stone --
This is the Hour of Lead --
Remembered, if outlived,
As Freezing persons, recollect the Snow --
First -- Chill -- then Stupor -- then the letting go --
Sometimes you figure something out. Last night I realized that I had been looking at the last part wrong. It had never made much sense--but I got it now. She is not saying she will remember if she lives though this.
I have such several hours of lead. Most of us have, one way or another.
Tomorrow my flu and I go to tenant court. I went to the rental office today to give over some monies. The door was locked. There was an ugly little note which said 'If you knock we will not let you in. If you are trying to pay us that is what your envelope is for. We will not accept any money face to face. If you have any questions call this number, we will decide weather to grant you an appointment. .If you have have any repairs call this number-- someone will call you back.
This eliminates them giving you a receipt for money paid. Also the 'repairs' number never results in any response. So all you have is their records. If their records are wrong in your favor, you must prove it. I took a picture of the note. I took more pictures of the parts of this place that need fixing.
I am going in there tomorrow as a pissed-off, unclean, woman with virulent flu. I hope he lands in the hospital.
Normal, kindly, fiction generating woman will return after tomorrow. At least I hope so.
