Bold pursuit of the obvious

There is a saying that in NYC nobody has a good relationship, apartment and job at the same time. One of the three is always in disarray.
I have a stable happy marriage, and no outside job, writing is going well, kids are good, so, what does that leave?

The landlord from the lower regions... I need to move.

I wished you guys all knew of apartments in Brooklyn. But transatlantic commiseration is good too.

Sorry, I have no knowledge (except through the internet) of N.Y. apartments. I remember seeing a video of a young guy who had a N.Y. apt. that was one room, about the size of my main bathroom!! He had furniture that folded up on the walls, so he could have his bed 'open' or his table/desk, but not at the same time!! Good luck!

I think if I had to choose one out of the three to be bad, I would choose the apartment, but that's not a lot of comfort when you're trying to live there. Hope you find something.

I shall wish a pox on your landlord while I'm wishing one on mine.

Oof. Commiserations. (And I do have some tweeps who live(d) in Brooklyn, so I would be happy to light a flare in that circle --ballpark # of rooms/price-range?)

Dammit. What a scunner. I hope you manage to find a new apartment soon, and a landlord that does not inhabit the infernal regions.

Good luck with your move! I'd send you all my extra boxes if I could!
