I met a parrot

I met a parrot in Bensonhurst. He was the medium green kind. His cage was put out on the street, beside the door of a bakery. As I came near him he shuffled close and looked at me upside down.

"Hello," I said. "You are a parrot." He looked at me sideways, and did not deny it.

I brought my bent knuckle up to his cage and he gave it a nibble. He turned his head and watched me.

"Not good to eat." I said. He must have agreed because he gave me a smart nip.

"You bit me." I said.

"Ha-ha!" Said the parrot.

Our quaker parrot He-Lo always wants to eat whatever we are eating... will ask for "toast please," or "pizza, please." He'll drop most of it and then scream for more.

Makes me wonder if the parrot was used to hearing "ha-ha" whenever someone was bitten...

ROFL! The parrot wasn't the only one that said "Ha-ha" XD Did he say "Ha-ha" with a Brooklyn accent or with a parrot accent?
