I love your sea chest so much. Have you tried any of the knot work in the book?

nodbear once bought me a little box of cord with instructions on how to tie various knots. I'm afraid out attempts were very lubberly, but I vaguely recall we posted pictures of the results here.

The book recommends practice. It suggests I purchase 'a 6 to 8 foot length of tarred rope' which it assures me is 'available from any reputable sailmaker.'

I have not bought it yet, but the day is young!

Well, you know what they say, practice makes perfect. See and remember to pick up an 8 foot length of tarred rope from your local sailmaker next time you're out for groceries. Make sure they're reputable though!

I did not know pictures were huge. I took them from my phone. I am not very good at pictures thing. I will redo them smaller as soon as son can help me.
