Have joined the Twitter

What it says. Decided to see what I was missing. Based on what it saw in my Gmail, it reccomended a whole bunch of things to me. Seemed to be a combo of husbands contacts for work and my writing and fannish stuff. Thus shash writing and industrial hygine, chemicals, solvents, and lubricants!!

We shall see. Certain actors have an enourmous amount of followers. Still I might like to see what they have to say. They won't notice me at all, which is more than fine. I cannot imagine that I will use it much. Long form writing is more my thing. Still, I like Tumblr a lot more than I thought I ever would.

This is a new world, and I think I like it. I like the fact that it really does not matter where you live, you can socialise with the people you choose to spend time with. So much more interesting than being limited to ones town or neighborhood.

Husband has confirmed his classes for the next semester. And it looks as if the GI bill may last us longer than we thought. He has a new advisor at the VA, an ex-master cheif who seems to be a practical useful guy. The old advisor was a civilian who was doing it as an add on to some other better job. She did not know much about the military, or how to help someone who needed to access retiree services. The new guy has already pointed Mike to some stuff we had no idea about. So that is really good.

As far as writing, William Bush popped up out of nowhere and he met a girl! He likes very much to meet girls.

It has finally gotten to be winter here. Very cold.Of course Hazel finds it envigorating! She wants to go to the beach. I myself love the winter beach, but not when it is 14F with a brisk wind!

Hope you are all staying comfortably warm, (or cool, depending.)

I use twitter a lot, but primarily for work purposes so I'm rather boring :} I do use it for history research more and more though. If you check out the #twitterstorians tag you'll find lots and lots of interesting people. Let me know your twitter ID and I'll follow you. If you look for me under my name, you'll find me.

We have proper Scottish winter here now. We've had uninterrupted horizontal rain and howling gales for the last fortnight! Kittens are settling in well and getting up to all sorts of mischief as kittens do. I found them both at the top of the curtains above the living room window today!

I must say Scottish winter sounds like home to me. I do like a howling gale if I can get one!

I will find you on Twitter as soon as tonight if I can. I am just eglantine there. (Keeps things simple.)

I am just learning about the mysterious hashtags today. I will take your advice.

Kittens sound perfect. The top of the curtains is, of course, the traditional place for them.

Long form writing is more my thing.

I don't use Twitter anymore, but when I did, I found it to be an interesting writing challenge. I like writing longer, but it's good practice to try to say what you want with as few wasted words as possible. enjoyed rewording and reworking things until I was able to make it clear, amusing, and fit the 140 character limit.

I have just followed you - I think! I have a sort of love/hate relationship with Twitter: it's good for dull moments, but can leave one terribly irritated.

Before I forget, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Anyway, I've been on Twitter for a little over a year now. I don't use any of the automated or programmed maintenance set ups and have already gained nearly 1200 followers. I've met a lot of other independent authors, including a few whose books I've bought or plan to buy. If you are interested I'm at stoneisland1803
