He is not going to take any nonsense.

I continue to be amazed by the vigor with which nature tries to take back NYC. Everything from the sand here, to the underground streams that come up through the blacktop, to the wildflowers that happen unless some idiot stops them... Of course parts of the Bronx are quite suburban. But it is good to see.

What an awesome little creature! Have you ever seen one? I love the way that nature is lurking just beneath the surface of all our cities

I have not seen one. I have seen tracks of them, on the Vineyard though. Anything that small that hunts porcupines has my respect.

Actually, I have only seen a porcupine in the wild once, for that matter. It was in Vermont. The porcupine was high in a pine tree, sleeping folded in half, like a man sleeping in a chair.
