It's scary the way kids do that isn't it? She's beautiful though :) I love her curls.

We just got the curling iron for her. When she was little she had natural curls, crazy curls. (You might know the type?)

But now they are mostly gone. I think her hair tonight is very 1790s...

She's beautiful! They do seem to grow up quickly! "Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers, blossoming even as we gaze." (Sunrise, Sunset) We have a 'growth chart' of sorts that my youngest son made with pencil on a door frame, recording his height from age 14 to 15 every few weeks. Quite incredible. What I remember of his older brother were the shoes!! It seemed like every two weeks he'd say "Mom, I need new shoes." and I'd say, "We just BOUGHT you new shoes!" And he'd say "But they don't fit any more!!" Sure enough, we'd check and his feet had grown again!!

"Was this the little girl I carried?
Was this the little boy at play?
I don't remember growing older.
When did they?"

Or 'Turn'

'Turn around and you are two,
Turn around and you are four
Turn around
You are a young girl, going out of the door.'

I cannot have that one on ipod, it would have me in tears. Not that it is sad, not exactly. But it aches, doesn't it?

And yes, the shoes. Her feet are huge. And she eats so much. The food just disappears.

It does ache.

Oh yes, I had to shop twice a week and still I'd hear "There's nothing to eat!!".

We have one 30 yr. old son at home, all the rest are out on their own, with partners and there are 5 grandchildren!!

Don't be sad. Your only job as a parent is to prepare them to fly the nest. They're still yours, even at a distance.

She has a classical beauty - like the Muse which Alfons Mucha has drawn!
